A large portion of my work is commissioned. Each piece begins with a conversation—listening closely to what a client envisions, taking into account the space it will inhabit, and the feeling we want it to evoke. From there the creative process unfolds in stages: rough sketches give way to small scale models, and wood selection becomes its own dialog between material and design.  The result is a piece that begins as a conversation and becomes a treasured part of someone’s home.
